Miami, South Florida is one of the most popular destinations in Florida after Orlando. It is seen as a more adult oriented place and has many popular beaches and a great night life.
South Florida and the Miami area enjoys a tropical climate. The sun shines practically all year round. The everglades are accessible with boat tours and coach trips available from the local area. An air boat ride in the everglades is a must if you are visiting Miami.
Miami beach is famous for its white sands and shimmering clean waters. Topless sunbathing is popular on the beach and although it is legal it is frowned upon in some areas. Best to check before you strip.
Miami is the home of Spanglish. Spanish is spoken everywhere in Miami so it might be a good idea to brush up on it before you arrive. Although most of the locals in the city center will speak English if you stray to far from the beaten track you may find that Spanish is the only language understood.
Miami is without a doubt Florida's party venue. There are hundreds of nightclubs, bars and restaurants to keep you fed and watered throughout your stay. The gay community are more than welcome here with gay bars and beaches galore.
